Job Description

Martin Media is a video production company specializing in creating captivating corporate commercials for local businesses and organizations in Kenai, Alaska. We are looking to bring on a part time social media manager to help reach our target audience and deliver great value to bring in new leads.

Position: Virtual Assistant – Social Media Manager
Location: Remote
Type: Part time (5hr a week – with room to grow)
Pay: 3.50/hr

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across two business social media marketing accounts.
Take content from Google Drive and schedule it on specific social media platforms, referencing Google Sheets for captions and other relevant information.
Schedule and publish content with an overall understanding of the direction of marketing campaigns.
Manage all published content (images, video, written).
Analyze key metrics and adjust strategy as needed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand.

Assist with managing social media advertising campaigns.
Monitor and develop reports on competitor activity within social media spaces.
Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “social” way while cultivating leads and sales.

Daily/Weekly Tasks:
Join the daily check-in and check-out sessions to stay aligned with the team and update on progress.
Content Review and Scheduling:
Maintain a detail-oriented mindset, actively reviewing spelling and quality revisions on Google Sheets.
Prioritize urgent projects and follow detailed editing instructions.
Keep postings and social media activities meticulously organized.
Analyze key metrics from the previous day’s posts and adjust strategies as needed.
Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Develop weekly summaries of activities and any notable trends or observations.
Prepare monthly reports on emerging social media trends to submit to management.
Communicate effectively with team members through whatsapp, responding to comments and messages promptly.
Ensure Martin Media is informed of any changes in the content schedule or strategy.

Communication

Attend weekly team meetings and one-on-one sessions with team leads.
Participate in team calls every Tuesday at 10am (Alaska Standard Time).
Engage in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on social media marketing techniques.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of social media strategies and principles.
Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding spelling and grammar.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team.
Prior experience in social media content management
