Job Description: Social Media Manager
Overview:
As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our organization’s social media strategy to enhance brand awareness and drive traffic, engagement, and conversions across various social media platforms. You will collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and creative teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging and effective campaigns that resonate with our target audience.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategy Development:
– Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
– Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of social media efforts.
– Conduct ongoing market research and stay updated with industry trends to optimize strategies.
2. Content Creation and Curation:
– Create engaging, high-quality content for social media platforms, including but not limited to text, image, video, and interactive formats.
– Curate relevant content from industry influencers, partners, and user-generated sources to supplement brand content.
– Maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule and thematic alignment with marketing campaigns.
3. Community Management:
– Monitor and engage with the brand’s social media community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
– Foster positive relationships with followers, influencers, and brand advocates to nurture brand loyalty and advocacy.
– Address customer concerns and escalate issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
4. Campaign Management:
– Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns across various platforms, including budget allocation, targeting, and performance analysis.
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop creative assets and messaging for campaign initiatives.
– Track campaign performance and provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
5. Analytics and Reporting:
– Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance metrics, such as reach, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
– Generate regular reports to assess the effectiveness of social media efforts and provide actionable insights for optimization.
– Monitor competitive landscape and benchmark performance against industry standards.
6. Stay Current with Social Media Trends:
– Keep abreast of emerging social media platforms, features, and best practices to capitalize on new opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.
– Experiment with innovative strategies and tactics to drive engagement and growth.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a B2C or B2B environment.
– In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices for content creation and distribution.
– Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and on-brand messaging.
– Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and paid advertising platforms.
– Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving business objectives.
– Excellent multitasking and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Experience in graphic design, video editing, or other multimedia production skills is a plus.
– Familiarity with SEO principles and content marketing strategies is desirable.
