Job Description

We are a start-up Pet Food Company that manufactures natural and nutritious pet food toppers. We are looking for a Social Media Manager/Content Creator and Virtual Assistant. Our target audience for Social Media – is the Canadian Millennial Dog Owner. We would like someone to join our team – where this role can grow into a more permanent and more hour posting (but this isn’t necessary if the individual would prefer a permanent part-time role). We would like to hire someone for approximately 3 hours a day – but are flexible – and can accommodate time off. Very good English skills and excellent visual skills are essential.
1. Instagram Growth/Engagement Expert/Content Creation/ Social Media Virtual Assistant
• Manage and maintain all social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and any other relevant platforms.
• Write and edit compelling content for a variety of digital channels, including blog posts, website pages, social media posts, email newsletters, and more.
• Create engaging, informative, and shareable content for social media platforms, including text posts, images, videos, and infographics.
• Adapt writing style and tone to match the brand’s voice and maintain consistency across different platforms.
• Monitor social media trends, industry news, and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities for content creation and audience engagement.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from followers in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a positive brand image – grow organically!!
• Use social media management tools to schedule posts, track analytics, and generate reports on social media performance.- use ContentStudio
• Collaborate with influencers, partners, or relevant stakeholders to execute influencer marketing campaigns or cross-promotions.
• Create and send a monthly newsletter
• Update business info
• Reply to comments
• Like comments and visit followers’ pages to like pics or posts
• Increase engagement with surveys or promotions
• Add new products/features images and descriptions
• Create and post a monthly blog
• Create your custom Facebook business page
o Log in and interact with followers
o Respond or forward messages
o Invite people to like your page
• Schedule and create a month’s worth of daily posts: Funny memes, inspirational thoughts or messages, images related to your business etc. – have content pillars and suggestions – a month in advance
2. Virtual Sales Assistant / Data Entry Virtual Assistant
• Take handwritten notes and log them into your CRM software
• Conduct research on prospective customers
• Conduct research on cold and/or warm leads
• Entering information on new sales leads
• Creating new user profiles
• Populating spreadsheets with pertinent info
• Keeping your CRM up to date
3. Shopify Virtual Assistants – can learn this
• Website Maintenance
• Install Plugins
• Move Text
• Add Pictures
• Change Colors
• Add new content
• Create new landing pages
• Create opt-in pages for your email list
