Job Description

Job Title: Social Media Assistant

Job Summary:

We are a vacation rental & design company. Looking for assistance on building social media presence for our 2 rentals, and our brand that is aimed at helping other hosts. Previous experience in vacation and real estate fields is a plus. Currently looking for part time work (20ish hours a week) but hope to have enough business to increase that to full time within a few months.

I’m very good at the big idea / big picture items, but really need help with following through and execution – so applicant must be able to take over projects, follow instructions, and execute within the time requested. A daily breakdown of how time is spent will be required, so we an analyze time / results of tasks to determine what’s the best use of your time moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

– Repurpose existing content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and individual websites
– Create new content from inspiration ideas, outlines, and brainstorm ideas that are on brand and engaging
– Execute social media campaigns that align with company goals
– Understand and target Pinterest, including creating and managing boards, analyzing data, and optimizing content for the platform
– Edit down videos for optimal social media sharing, including adding captions and optimizing for different platforms
– Stay up to date with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates
– Monitor social media accounts and respond to customer inquiries and feedback
– Assisting in Leadpages / Email Campaigns
– WordPress updates / refreshes

Requirements:

– Proven work experience as a Social Media Assistant or similar role
– Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices
– Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools
– Experience with video editing software and tools, must use Adobe Suite and be familiar with Canva
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
– Work on an Apple Computer (to make sharing of photos / images easier)
