About the Job:
Our client, a US-based ecommerce brand, is looking for a talented Social Media Manager (Freelance) who lives and breathes the latest trends in social media. The ideal candidate is a go-getter, creative and curious, and brings a level of organization, detail, and process to all projects you support.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and grow our social media following
– Manage day-to-day social media program, projects, and campaigns, ensuring creative and communications reflect the brand accurately
– Create engaging social media content including graphics, photos, videos, and written copy
– Plan social calendars, and schedule and post relevant content across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) with consideration of business priorities, seasonality, and real-time trends
– Engage with brand’s owned content and community’s posts across multiple social platforms (i.e. liking/commenting on tagged posts, brand-related hashtag posts, etc.).
– Proactively monitor social media for questions, customer service issues; escalate to appropriate internal or external partners as necessary
– Assist with influencer outreach and needs
– Track, analyze, and report on social media performance on an ongoing basis
– Monitor trends across social media and culture. Come up with creative solutions and new testing methods to positively impact social media initiatives to maximize results.
Qualifications:
– At least 1 year experience in social media marketing.
– Strong familiarity with social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
– Excellent copywriting ability. Whether you’re writing engaging posts, commenting on threads, or developing scripts, you must be able to write persuasive copy.
– Strong design aesthetic. On social media, imagery is just as important as copy. People are just as captivated (if not more) by eye-catching images or well-produced videos. You must have an eye for design and the ability to generate content.
– Community engagement & customer service experience. Customers will often go to social media to ask questions, provide feedback, or for general support. You must be able to communicate well with empathy and understanding.
– Analytical mindset. Social media marketers need to know how to measure, interpret, and act on social media data.
– Comfortable working U.S. business hours.
Bonuses:
– Experience with social media management tools (Curalate, Hootsuite, etc.)
– Experience working with social media influencers
– Proficiency with design tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.
