Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to join our gaming industry team. As a Gaming Industry Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to engage our gaming community, drive organic growth, optimize ads, and build brand presence across various platforms. You will also be instrumental in identifying and collaborating with micro-influencers, media outlets, and other key stakeholders to enhance our online presence.
Main responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to promote our gaming brand, products, and events.
• Create and manage targeted advertising campaigns across social media platforms to maximize ROI and reach our target audience effectively.
• Cultivate and grow our social media channels organically by creating engaging and shareable content, fostering community engagement, and leveraging trending topics.
• Identify and collaborate with micro-influencers and content creators to amplify our brand’s reach and engage with niche gaming audiences.
• Establish and maintain relationships with gaming-related media outlets, blogs, and publications to secure coverage and partnerships.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices on Instagram, Reddit, and other relevant social media platforms to maximize our presence.
• Plan and coordinate our participation in events like ComicCon, ensuring our presence and engagement with the gaming community.
• Identify and explore opportunities to expand our presence on emerging social media channels and platforms.
What you need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience (+3 years) in social media management, with a focus on the gaming industry.
• Strong knowledge of gaming culture, trends, and the gaming community.
• Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
• Experience with paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinking and a passion for content creation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with event planning and coordination.
