Job Description
Social Media Managers are responsible for planning, implementing, managing and
monitoring the Company’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness,
improve marketing efforts and increase sales. The social media manager is responsible
for growing audiences on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and
Instagram. Along with maintaining a posting schedule, he or she will also regularly create
platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics. They must have a
good eye for trends and an understanding of social media metrics.

What This Job Entails
– Creating authentic video and/or text content which will be put out to the public via a
client’s social media account
– Managing posts and updates on the client’s social media accounts such as LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube, adapting content to suit
different channels
– Responding to comments, suggestions, and/or complaints of the company’s followers on
all its social media channels
– Generating and publishing captivating content via different social media platforms on a
daily basis
– Communicating with followers and respond to their questions, complaints and/or
suggestions
– Overseeing the design of each of the client’s social media account
– Staying abreast with current social media trends
? Carrying out research as regards followers/audience preferences when it comes to
social media output
? Overseeing, planning and delivering content across different platforms using scheduling
tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Asana and Olapic
? Creating engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple
platforms
? Managing and facilitating social media communities by responding to social media posts
and developing discussions
? Monitoring, tracking, analyzing and reporting on performance on social media platforms
using tools as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
? Researching and evaluating the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and
better ways of measuring social media activity
? Analyzing competitor activity
? Recommending improvements to increase performance
? Managing a budget for social media activities
? Educating other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within the Company

Required Experience
? Proven work experience as a social media manager
? Hands on experience in content management
? Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
? Knowledge of online marketing channels
? Solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in
relation to advertising/branding and customers
? Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to
write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniques
? Knowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimization
? Strong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clients
? Excellent team working, collaboration and networking skills
? Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple projects
? Skills in data analysis and interpreting statistics
? Should have knowledge of AI for writing, preferably Jarvis
? Strong English reading and writing skills as well as a knack for using data to drive
creation and engagement as well as growth
