Job Description

As the Social Media Manager of a veterinary practice, you will be responsible for managing and creating content for the practice’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. Your main duties will include:

Developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy for the practice that aligns with business goals and objectives
Creating and scheduling engaging, informative, and on-brand content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos
Managing the practice’s social media accounts, including responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner
Monitoring and analyzing social media metrics, such as engagement, reach, and website traffic, to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions
Staying up to date with the latest social media trends and best practices and making recommendations for new features or ways to improve the practice’s social media presence
Working closely with the practice’s management and other staff members to ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all communication channels
Collaborating with internal and external partners to create and execute social media campaigns and promotions.

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field,
At least 2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the healthcare or veterinary industry
Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to create engaging and informative content
Strong knowledge of the main social media platforms and their functionality
Good understanding of social media metrics, analytics, and tools
Strong project-management, time-management, and organizational skills
Passion for animals and understanding of the veterinary industry
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
Be able to work well under pressure and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
This is a full-time position, and the Social Media Manager will report to the practice’s management team.
