What you’ll do
The company seeks a Social Media Marketing Manager responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Additionally, you will create compelling content for email flows and newsletters, manage a content calendar, conduct minor image and video editing, assist with marketing tasks such as CRM data collection and SEO analysis, manage advertising campaigns across Google and Meta platforms, and support sales promotion efforts and store maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Social Media Management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Create and curate engaging content for social media posts, stories, and YouTube playlists, incorporating product promotion, sales alerts, and hashtags.
Content Creation and Calendar Management:
Draft compelling copy for social media posts and marketing materials, ensuring tone, voice, and messaging consistency.
Draft copy for email flows and newsletters, ensuring they are included in the content calendar.
Maintain a content calendar using SEMrush or similar tools, scheduling posts and incorporating key events, holidays, and promotions.
Minor Image Editing and Video Editing:
Graphics and videos will be provided. You may need to perform minor image editing tasks using Photoshop to enhance visuals and ensure consistency in brand imagery across social media platforms and Shopify.
Utilize video editing software such as Adobe Premiere to edit and enhance video content for social media posts, stories, and YouTube playlists.
Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:
Utilize Mailchimp for CRM data collection, extracting customer information from past email reports and creating CSV files based on categories like product interests and preferences.
Manage Google Merchant Center (GMC) by checking on all products, adding custom labels for ad distinction, and optimizing product listings for visibility.
SEO and Competition Analysis:
Conduct weekly and monthly reports using SEMrush software, analyzing competition, keywords, site strength, and meta fixes to enhance online visibility and SEO performance.
Implement ongoing SEO optimizations and meta fixes based on analysis and recommendations.
Google Ads and Meta Ads Management:
Manage Google Ads Manager and Meta Ads Manager/Creative tools to create, monitor, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google and Meta platforms.
Collaborate with graphic designers for ad creatives and visuals, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
Engagement and Community Management:
Monitor social media platforms for comments, messages, and reactions, responding promptly and engaging with followers professionally and authentically.
Maintain brand reputation by addressing comments and feedback appropriately, banning users where necessary, and fostering a positive online community.
Sales Promotion and Store Maintenance:
Coordinate with the sales team to promote new products, sales events, and special promotions through social media channels, leveraging storytelling and compelling copywriting.
Assist in store maintenance tasks, such as categorization updates, inventory management, and product collection introduction.
What you should have
At least four years of proven experience in the Social Media and Marketing industry.
Must have remote work experience, preferably with companies based in the US, UK, Australia or Canada.
Demonstrated ability to navigate Shopify’s platform efficiently, enabling effective store management and timely product updates. Experience with Shopify’s inventory management, product categorization, and customer engagement tools.
Basic Photoshop skills for minor image editing tasks. Familiarity with tools and techniques for enhancing visual content to maintain brand consistency and appeal across social media platforms.
Preferable experience in video editing using Premiere with the ability to edit and enhance video content for social media posts, stories, and promotional materials. Skills may include video trimming, transitions, primary effects, and audio adjustments to produce engaging video content.
Familiarity with Google Merchant Center (GMC) and Google Ads Manager for managing product listings, optimizing ad campaigns, and tracking performance metrics. Ability to navigate these platforms to enhance product visibility and drive conversions through targeted advertising efforts.
Proficiency in utilizing SEMrush tools for conducting SEO analysis, keyword research, and competitor analysis. Skills include interpreting data insights to inform content strategy, identify optimization opportunities, and improve search engine rankings and visibility. (Preferred but not necessary – you can get training).
Strong command of English language and grammar, with the ability to craft compelling copy for social media posts, website content, email campaigns, and advertising materials. Attention to detail in proofreading and editing to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in messaging across various marketing channels.
Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and their best practices for engagement and growth.
Ability to create and execute social media strategies to achieve marketing objectives.
Experience with content creation, including writing engaging copy and curating visually appealing content.
Strong organizational skills to maintain content calendars, track project progress, and prioritize tasks effectively.
