The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase our brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive traffic to our physical and online stores. The ideal candidate is a pet lover with a passion for social media, creativity, and a strong understanding of digital marketing trends.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and others.
– Create engaging and high-quality content, including posts, stories, videos, and graphics, that align with our brand voice and objectives.
– Start and grow brand new social media accounts from scratch, establishing a strong online presence.
– Schedule and publish content using social media management tools.
– Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
– Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our strategies are effective and innovative.
– Collaborate with other team members, such as graphic designers, photographers, and marketing staff, to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.
– Engage with our online community and foster relationships with pet influencers and potential brand ambassadors.
– Plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and giveaways to boost engagement and sales.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Social Media Marketing Specialist or similar role.
– Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
– Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
– Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics).
– Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong organizational and time-management skills.
– Creative thinker with a passion for pets and a keen eye for detail.
– Previous experience in social media marketing is required, including starting and growing brand new social media accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Currently enrolled in or graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
– Experience in the pet industry or a genuine passion for pets.
– Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.
– Experience with paid social media advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads).
