We are an 18-year old American + Philippines company seeking an experienced advertising and social media manager to lead our existing team. We use Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads to drive awareness of our CEO, our online programs and our brand of supplements. We are in the relationship and intimacy, longevity, biohacking, and sexual wellness email newsletter business. Social media and advertising are lead generation strategies for growing our amazing newsletter. We receive a lot of inbound publicity-related content that needs to be managed and promoted through the social channels. And we are experimenting with new campaigns that drive leads to opt into our email newsletters.
We only want employees who love to work in a team because the roles require group collaboration.
This is not a solo position.
Further, you’ll be working with a team of three who are peers, yet you “own” the social and advertising lines of business, but the people you rely on to help you also have other tasks.
You also need to be metrics-driven. Our social media is not a beauty campaign, it’s a content marketing process that needs to drive newsletter readers. Tracking codes, reporting on opt-ins and a data-driven process is as important as the consistency of creating and scheduling posts, stories and Reels. You must be good with data, not just images and marketing.

:: Responsibilities ::

– You will, at times, be logged in to the CEO’s Instagram and Threads account. This requires a depth of trust and professionalism to work in such a private and personal role.
– Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy with the CEO to increase followers, drive engagement, and acquire new subscribers for our email newsletters.
– Manage and mentor an existing team of 3 part-time social media specialists, providing guidance, setting goals, tracking measurement, and ensuring consistent high-quality content creation.
– Create and oversee the production of engaging social media content from provided materials including videos, graphics, and copy, aligning with the brand’s voice and values.
– Use a Canva Team account to create and organize content including graphics, animations, and manage a Brand Kit to maintain visual brand consistency.
– Collaborate with a freelance video editor to produce high-quality video content for Reels, Stories and blog posts. The candidate will utilize tools like Descript and Vidyo for creating captions, transcripts, and social “shorts” that require editing and optimization.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, continually evolving our strategy for maximum impact.
– Analyze and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights and data-driven recommendations for improvement.
– Identify opportunities for growth, such as influencer collaborations or paid advertising campaigns (experience with paid ads on YouTube and Instagram is a plus).
– Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning within the social media team.
– Adjust to constantly changing schedules and changes in company direction as needed.
– Research and analyze using reporting tools, and understand what’s working with competitors and peers in the space.
– Use Claude 3 or ChatGPT to generate summaries, quizzes, polls, etc. from podcast and event transcripts.

:: Qualifications ::

– 3-5 years of proven success in social media marketing and management, preferably in the supplement, health and wellness, or related industries.
– Extensive hands-on experience with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube) and scheduling/management tools like or Metricool.
– Strong understanding of video and audio production, editing, and optimization for social media.
– Proficiency in content creation, including writing, graphic design, and basic video editing skills.
– Understanding of how to prompt ChatGPT / Claude to generate content for blogs and social media.
– Experience managing and mentoring a team of social media professionals.
– Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
– Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.
– Proficiency with computers, technology, and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools and trends.
– A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
