Role: Social Media Strategist
Contract: Full-time Remote Contractor (160 hours monthly)
Business Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM EST, Monday-Friday
Rate: $900 – $1,000 monthly (Salary is negotiable based on experience)

What you’ll do

As a Social Media and Marketing Specialist, you will be a key player in enhancing the company’s online presence. Your role is multifaceted, from developing strategic social media initiatives to contributing to marketing campaigns and creating visually compelling content. You must have a proven track record in social media management, marketing, and graphic design, coupled with a creative mindset and a passion for the goals and values of the non-profit sector. Responsibilities include:

Social Media Management:
– Develop a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
– Curate and create relevant and shareable content across various social media platforms.
– Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media channels.
– Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

Graphic Design:
– Design visually appealing graphics for social media posts, website content, and marketing materials.
– Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for the organization.
– Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and execute design projects.

Marketing Assistance:
– Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns that promote the organization’s events, programs, and initiatives.
– Assist in creating and distributing marketing materials such as newsletters, press releases, and promotional content.
– Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for outreach.

Chapters Coordinator Support:
– Chapter Events: Posting chapter events, sending calendar invites, and providing pre and post-event follow-up support.

What you should have

– Proven experience in Social Media Management, Marketing, and Graphic Design.
– Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
– Ability to craft compelling captions and copy to promote the brand’s services.
– Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or equivalent.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
