Job Title: Remote Social Media Manager – Dog Accessory Brand

Job Overview:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join our established and beloved brand in the dog accessory industry.

As a Social Media Manager for our well-known dog accessory brand, you will play a crucial role in driving our brand’s online presence, engaging with our target audience, and promoting our unique products. This is a remote position, allowing you to work remotely from the comfort of your own home.

We’re an industry leading brand and the quality of your work must be congruent with this. You’ll be highly organised, pay meticulous attention to detail and be able to deliver to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to enhance brand awareness, increase engagement, and drive traffic to our online platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok.

2. Create and curate compelling content, including high-quality images, videos, and written posts, that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience of dog owners and enthusiasts.

3. Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and friendly manner, fostering a positive and inclusive online environment.

4. Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and industry news to identify opportunities for growth, collaborations, and creative campaigns that align with our brand values and objectives.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and customer service, to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all channels and campaigns.

6. Analyse social media metrics, generate reports, and provide insights and recommendations for optimizations to maximize performance and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).

7. Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, algorithm changes, and emerging trends, continually improving our social media strategies and leveraging new opportunities.

8. Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, audience targeting, ad creation, and performance tracking, to drive traffic, increase conversions, and maximize return on investment (ROI).

9. Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in all social media activities, particularly as they relate to pet products and animal welfare.

Qualifications:

1. Proven work experience of at least 1 year as a Social Media Manager for an ecommerce or product business or similar role, preferably in a remote setting, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and content creation.

2. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, Pinterest, and TikTok, and their respective advertising tools.

3. Passion for dogs and the pet industry, with an understanding of dog owners’ interests, preferences, and online behaviour.

4. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to create engaging content, tell compelling stories, and interact effectively with the dog-loving community.

5. Proficiency in graphic design tools and video editing software, with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.

6. Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, social media analytics, and reporting techniques to track and measure the success of campaigns.

7. Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.

8. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

9. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.

Working Conditions:

You’ll be based remotely so you can work from your home but you’ll need a strong and stable internet connection.

The position is part-time, but you can choose your own hours for greater flexibility (we understand there’s a large time difference). However, you will need to be ‘online’ and available between 10am – 12pm GMT.
