Role Summary:
As a Social Media Video Editor at LIFE, you will play a crucial role in bringing our mission and impact to life through compelling video content. You will work closely with our media team and various other departments to create engaging, informative, and inspiring videos that highlight our humanitarian efforts and the stories of those we serve. Your work will be instrumental in engaging our audience, attracting new supporters, and driving forward our mission of serving humanity.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the media team to conceptualize, and edit video content for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
Translate complex humanitarian stories and achievements into compelling visual narratives that resonate with a wide audience.
Ensure all video content is aligned with LIFE’s brand identity, mission, values, and messaging.
Manage the end-to-end video production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing, including selecting music, cutting footage, adding graphics, and finalizing edits.
Monitor social media trends and analytics to recommend improvements for future video content.
Work within project timelines to deliver high-quality video content that meets organizational goals and deadlines.
Uphold the highest standards of sensitivity and ethical storytelling, respecting the dignity and privacy of the individuals and communities we serve.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or a related field/ Equivalent
Proven experience (2+ years) as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing social media content.
Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphics creation (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Photoshop).
Excellent storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in an engaging and accessible manner.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and the types of video content that perform well on each.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
