Job Description

Video Editing: The primary responsibility of a Social Media Video Editor is to edit videos for social media platforms. This includes tasks such as trimming footage, adding transitions, incorporating music or sound effects, and applying visual effects or filters to enhance the quality and appeal of the videos.

Content Creation: They may be involved in the creation of original video content for social media platforms. This could involve brainstorming ideas, storyboarding concepts, and collaborating with other team members or stakeholders to develop engaging and shareable content.

Platform Optimization: Social Media Video Editors ensure that videos are optimized for each specific platform’s requirements and best practices. This may include formatting videos for different aspect ratios, adding captions or subtitles for accessibility, and optimizing file sizes for faster loading times.

Branding and Consistency: They maintain brand consistency across all video content by adhering to brand guidelines, using consistent visual elements such as logos, colors, and fonts, and incorporating brand messaging into video captions or overlays.

Collaboration and Communication: Social Media Video Editors collaborate closely with other members of the marketing or social media team, including content creators, graphic designers, and social media managers. They communicate effectively to ensure that video content aligns with broader marketing objectives and campaigns.

Creative Direction: While they may receive direction or guidelines from higher-level team members or stakeholders, Social Media Video Editors often have creative autonomy in their video editing process. Education and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience as a Social Media Video Editor
Strong English skills, both written and verbal
Experience with both and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
Preferably based in Manila
