In this role you will be reporting to the Marketing Director and Social Media Coordinator working on daily content for a variety of mostly Canadian and American organizations. Most of the work will be centered around social media including creating content for Facebook and Instagram, and sometimes LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Twitter (X).
Types of clients you’ll be working with include real estate developers, dentists, health providers, “business-to-business”, legal & accounting, book publishers, retail – a demonstrated understanding of these industries in North America is a huge asset.
1. Copywriting and content marketing supported by Chat GPT including the creation of social media captions and advertising captions.
2. Graphic design and video editing using Canva, adhering to brand guidelines and templates for each client.
3. Scheduling and managing content calendars and queues using Cloud Campaign.
4. Managing Instagram accounts and posting Stories to Instagram.
5. Working in a team to coordinate content for clients on a monthly and as-needed basis.
6. Administering and monitoring content on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms as required.
The role will include:
Being a consistent and imaginative writer with an eye for detail and a clever and creative approach to writing
Use of Chat GPT – must already have experience with Chat GPT and know how to write effective prompts for social media
Working closely, professionally, and transparently with the social media team on a daily basis (communication via Slack and weekly team call-ins)
Reliably proofread, edit, and revise copy as needed
Grasping project requirements quickly and offering valuable insight to achieve desired results
You must be available to work at least 3 hours per day during the 9-5 business hours of the Eastern (EST) time zone; depending on your time zone, you can work the other 5 hours earlier or later.
