About Me:
I am a software developer managing both professional projects and small business ventures. I am looking for a talented and motivated JavaScript Developer to collaborate with me on various coding tasks and projects. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about coding, enjoys working independently, and is eager to contribute to multiple projects.
Role Overview:
As a JavaScript Developer, you will assist in developing and maintaining client-side applications using vanilla JavaScript/TypeScript and server-side applications using /Express. While we don’t heavily rely on frameworks, experience with popular ones like React, Svelte, Vue, or Angular is a plus. Your work will involve a variety of tasks ranging from frontend to backend development, including static site generation and integrating Firebase services.
This is a part-time role, starting at 10 hours per week with the potential for increased hours in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain client-side applications using vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript.
Build and maintain server-side applications using and Express.
Utilize Webpack and TSC for bundling and compiling code.
Implement static site generation using Astro.
Integrate and manage Firebase services including Realtime Database, Firestore, Firebase Functions, and Firebase Hosting.
Must-Have Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Strong experience with
Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
Familiarity with Webpack and TSC (TypeScript Compiler)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Firebase and its various tools (Realtime Database, Firestore, Firebase Functions, Firebase Hosting)
Knowledge of
Familiarity with Astro for static site generation
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Svelte, Vue, Angular)
