Software Engineer (Python / Solutions Engineer)

This role will be a key engineer role in the team, working directly with the Project Management Office. A good fit for this position is a motivated self-starter who is willing to take direction and delegation for top priority projects while also being experienced and insightful in their own right to bring critical thinking, fresh ideas, and sound experience to further build on our solid foundation.

The Solutions Engineer must have experience in providing solutions for issues found in current processes, including designing new systems, and maintaining an existing system while also being a creative problem solver.

Responsibilities
– Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including the time and scope involved.
– Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team.
– Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration.
– Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve.
– Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
– Utilize Zapier for automating data workflows and integrations as needed.
– Drive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes and technologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
– Identify and recommend risk mitigation strategies for project management.
– Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience.
– Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor the progress and implementation of initiatives.
– Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges.
– Analyses problems in the design, configuration, data flow, and data state within a highly sophisticated multi-product provisioning system.
– Serves as team lead on multiple projects, often spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization.
– Leads the integration of projects into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization, and methods/procedures.
– Test the data pipelines and dashboard to ensure accurate data flow and visualization.

Qualifications
– Familiarity with SQL programming language
– Experience with Zapier, HubSpot, and Python
– At least 2 years of experience in a solutions engineer role or similar setting
– Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
– Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems
– Project development and leadership skill are preferred
– Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
– Experience working with partners or in a B2B environment is a plus

Required Skills
