We are looking for an experienced QA tester to help strengthen our testing practices and procedures. You’ll be instrumental in helping us shape our testing strategy, ensuring we maintain a high quality product and add processes where needed to create a robust system.
You will focus on manual testing and assisting with automated tests/test plans. You will also conduct small internal demonstrations of new features once they’ve passed the testing process.
We are a predominantly remote company and this role will be fully remote (although you are welcome to visit our co-working spaces in Central London or Brighton).
Responsibilities:
– Becoming an expert user on our corporate hospitality & event management software
– Conduct manual testing of web applications across various browsers, devices, and operating systems to identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues
– Perform regression testing to validate that resolved defects and new features do not adversely impact existing functionalities
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in delivering a high-quality product
– Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance
– Demonstrate new product features to internal staff
Skills & Experience
– Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer, ideally in testing web-based SaaS applications
– Fluent English speaker
– Excellent verbal communication skills and written English skills to enable effective collaboration with developers, product managers, customer success team and senior management.
– Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
– Solid knowledge of web technologies, browsers, and operating systems.
– Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
– Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
– Able to work effectively remotely
– Quick learner of software and apps
– Keen to be a proactive member of a small but growing team
– Love of sports and/or entertainment
