Software Tester

I am looking for a results-driven software tester to be responsible for designing and running tests on software usability. The software tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations to the project teams. You may also interact with clients in order to understand the requirements of the product.

You should have a working knowledge of software and test design, the capability to run through tests, and the ability to analyze the results. Ultimately, the software tester should be result-driven, have good communication skills, and have up-to-date knowledge of software programming and software test design.

Your daily tasks will include:
– Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios
– Executing tests on software usability
– Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
– Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the team
– Interacting with clients to understand product requirements
– Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems

To be successful you will:
– Have at least 2 years of experience testing software
– Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
– Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
– Working knowledge of programming.
– Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
– Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
– Any agency-style experience will be highly beneficial
– Be ready to self-manage your own work
– Happy to work in an agile business in the early stages of start-up. Yes there will be pivoting as we work things out
– Preferably have previous exposure to a start-up and understand the challenges it can bring

You will be working closely with me so you will need to be available to work during Sydney business hours (Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm AEST). Meetings will generally be scheduled during this time and this will normally be when the team works. The hours you work are flexible but you should be available during this time.

The role will start at a salary of 50,000PHP per month (negotiable based on experience). Payments are split twice a month on the 15th and 28th of each month and are payable direct to your bank. Be sure you are comfortable with these terms.
