The Opportunity
As the Software Developer, focus on applications used on mobile devices and computer desktops. Systems software developers create and oversee software used in network distribution, along with database and web development. Software developers work in almost every industry, giving them a lot of choice in their career trajectory.
About the Role
Contribute ideas to the ERP design and development
Contribute to the departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures
Identify and communicate risks associate with the ERP system
Learn to apply your skills in an ERP environment
Learn new technologies and apply your knowledge to customer solutions
Learn to design and develop solutions for the business
Learn to build and sustain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and clients and anticipate and be responsive to client and stakeholder needs and expectations
Experience in Click to view, unit testing and applying existing standards and change and release management practices is desirable
Experience in writing stored procedures, views, functions using SQL Server is desirable
Experience in designing and developing reports and dashboards using SSRS and Crystal reports is desirable
Liaise with other IT Team Members to assist in the optimization of query and databases
Actively develop, implement, and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for installation, administration and support while ensuring compliance to change control processes, relevant industry standards, government, and departmental policies
Exposure to data processing, enterprise software application, and outsourced systems is desirable
Good understanding of software systems, features, and outsourced technologies
Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C++, Java, JavaScript), frameworks/systems (e.g. AngularJS, Git) and knowledge in Python
Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
Attention to detail
What you need to have
You will be resilient and show incredible leadership skills. You will also have:
BS Information Technology, BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
2+ years of experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of people in various contexts
Ability to undertake research using a variety of appropriate techniques
Sound conceptual, analytical and problems solving skillsWork both independently and collaboratively in a creative and agile team
Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Java and C++ frameworks or system.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
