Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative SolidWorks Draftsperson with expertise in 3D modeling to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing and prototyping IoT devices that are typically sized between three to twelve inches. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of designing for 3D printing, injection molding, and creating sheet metal enclosures, alongside a proficiency in mechanical assembly and sourcing various parts.

Responsibilities:
– Design and develop 3D models of IoT devices using SolidWorks, ensuring designs are optimized for 3D printing and injection molding.
– Create detailed drawings for sheet metal enclosures, considering the specifications and constraints of IoT devices.
– Collaborate with the engineering team to prototype and refine designs, ensuring they meet functionality and manufacturability requirements.
– Select appropriate materials and components for mechanical assembly, evaluating cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
– Conduct research to source the best parts and materials, maintaining a balance between quality and budget.
– Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are accurately brought to life, adhering to all relevant industry standards.

Qualifications:
– Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant 3D modeling software.
– Strong understanding of designing for 3D printing, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
– Experience in mechanical assembly and sourcing components.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other departments.
