Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Office Furniture Space Planning Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the initial client contact, understanding their needs, and creating efficient office space plans and furniture layouts to meet their requirements.

Schedule: 9am-5pm Eastern, Monday-Friday
Rate: negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities:
– Initial Client Contact: Act as the first point of contact with potential clients, engaging with them to understand their office furniture needs and preferences.
– Space Planning and Design: Collaborate with clients to gather information, including floor plans or field measurements, to create detailed hand-drawn space plans that align with their requirements.
– Furniture Selection: Utilize our list of available manufacturers and furniture options to select suitable pieces for the layouts, considering functionality, aesthetics, and budget constraints.
– Quote Preparation: Provide accurate and detailed quotes based on the furniture selections and space plans, incorporating appropriate discounts and markups.
– Presentation Creation: Develop clear and effective presentations using standard office software, demonstrating the proposed furniture layouts and design concepts.
– Project Coordination: Collaborate with the sales team and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution, from design to installation.
– Stay Updated on Technology: Stay informed about the latest furniture design and space planning software, leveraging technology to enhance the quality and efficiency of our services.

Requirements:
– Proven experience in office furniture sales, space planning, and design.
– Strong proficiency in space planning software and other relevant technology tools.
– Creative problem-solving skills to offer innovative solutions for diverse office spaces.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
– Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Familiarity with various office furniture manufacturers and products.
– Ability to adapt and learn new technologies as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Business, or related field.
– Previous experience with PowerPoint or other presentation software.
– Familiarity with the commercial office furniture industry and market trends.

Tools:
Ideally, we are seeking candidates familiar with Giza or CAP (2020 technologies) for space planning, and proficiency in Autocad and CET would be advantageous. Knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programs is also essential as our company operates on Google Workspace.
Additionally, this role involves assembling presentations with both images and drawings, alongside pricing details. While the choice of presentation software is flexible, we highly value creativity in this aspect of the job.
