Sr. Data Engineer

Blooming Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer who will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, analytics solutions, and reporting capabilities in the rapidly expanding health and aging-technology sector. Your contributions will be instrumental in enabling us to derive valuable insights, make data-driven decisions, and provide impactful reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring the reliable and timely ingestion and processing of data from various sources.
Develop integrations with third-party systems, APIs, and data providers to enrich our data ecosystem and enhance our analytics capabilities.
Implement and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure, utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
Design and develop data models and database schemas optimized for reporting and analytics purposes.
Build and maintain data marts, data warehouses, or data lakes to support reporting and business intelligence requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and design and develop impactful reports and dashboards.
Optimize data infrastructure and processes for efficient and performant reporting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and accuracy for reporting purposes.
Implement data governance processes and ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering, cloud computing, data integration, and reporting tools.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record as a Data Engineer, with experience in designing and developing data pipelines, integrations with third-party systems, cloud-based data infrastructure, and data infrastructure for reporting.
Strong expertise in cloud systems, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including services like S3, EC2, Lambda, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Proficiency in building and maintaining ETL processes using tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar frameworks.
Experience with data integration techniques, including working with RESTful APIs, file formats (CSV, JSON, XML), and data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and experience with data modeling for reporting and analytics purposes.
Ability to leverage AI tools like Copilot and Chatgpt to enhance technical productivity
Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Strong understanding of data governance, data privacy, and security practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
