Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Software Quality Assurance (QA) Testing Engineer with experience in Dusk, PHPUnit, and Manual testing processes to join our team. As a Software Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Touchstone IQ software products by testing and identifying defects before they are released to our customers. The position will support the development of a large-scale energy reporting SaaS platform for building owners and various cities and states around the United States. You will work closely with our development team to understand the software requirements and to design and execute test plans and test cases that ensure software functionality, performance, and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– 5-10 years of software testing experience
– Perform manual testing to identify and document bugs, ensuring all issues are prioritized and addressed
– Design, build, and implement automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks and tools
– Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and security testing on a regular basis
– Collaborate with developers to ensure that test environments are set up correctly and that automated tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
– Utilize OWASP testing techniques to assess and improve the security posture of our applications
– Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and ensure that test plans and test cases meet those requirements
– Produce detailed test reports, summarizing the findings and making recommendations for improvements
– Participate in code reviews to identify and mitigate potential issues from a QA perspective
– Document and report defects and work with the development team to ensure their timely resolution
– Continuously improve the testing process by identifying opportunities for automation and process optimization
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products
– Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure bug fixes, features, and functionality meet client needs

REQUIREMENTS
– 5-10 years of relevant software testing experience
– Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
– Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
– Proven experience with Laravel and PHP. Proficiency in JavaScript and .
– Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
– Experience with test automation tools such as Dusk, PHPUnit, Selenium
– Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in testing them
– Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar
– Experience with Git and version control
– Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field strongly preferred

– Must be available to work during U.S. hours, either 9 AM – 5 PM Mountain Standard Time
