Position: Staff Accountant
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
Compensation: $4 to $6 per hour
Job Overview:
Our customer is one of the leading distributors of foreign automotive parts in the Northeast
United States (New England area). As a pivotal player in the car parts distribution sector, they
have been committed to delivering exceptional service and quality products to their clientele for
over thirty years.
The company is seeking a seasoned Controller / Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in transactional accounting, will play a
crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data, and will be
capable of producing various ad hoc financial reports as needed by senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
? Manage and close the company’s books in QuickBooks Enterprise at month-end.
? Reconcile variances between trial balances and the general ledger.
? Prepare, analyze, and communicate key financial reports.
? Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management, enabling strategic
decision-making.
? Support the Chairman and CEO with necessary reporting as they interface with banks
and external parties.
? Ensure compliance with accounting policies and requirements.
Qualifications:
? 5-10 years of overall experience in an accounting role.
? Strong expertise in transactional accounting.
? Deep proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise is mandatory.
? Experience with Fuse5 software is a bonus, but not required.
? Familiarity or experience with distributor-type businesses is highly desirable.
? Exceptional analytical skills.
? Ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial managers.
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
