Hostly is a young, fast-growing Airbnb management company based in the UK and Zanzibar, Tanzania.

We have a brilliant & friendly team, based in the Philippines, South Africa, Zanzibar & The UK. Together, we manage a mixture of 45 apartments, houses & villas across both locations, and will be opening a small luxury hotel in Zanzibar later this year.

Due to this growth, we are now looking for a standalone HR generalist with a good understanding of all HR functions, to act as our one-person HR team!

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to build on experience of setting up the HR functions of an exciting, fast-growing company. You will be reporting into the 3 directors and will be excited by the idea of managing and leading an HR team in the future.

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

1. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding.
• Conduct interviews and collaborate with hiring managers to identify and acquire top talent.

2. HR Administration:
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
• Handle general HR administrative tasks

3. HR Policies and Compliance:
• Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance.

4. Employee Benefits and Compensation:
• Administer employee benefits programs and ensure competitive and fair compensation structures.
• Conduct market research to benchmark salaries and benefits against industry standards.

5. Training and Development:
• Identify training needs within the organisation and coordinate relevant training programs.

6. Performance Management:
• Develop and implement performance management systems to monitor employee productivity and development.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

– A kind, intelligent & personable individual
– 3+ years experience as an HR generalist or similar role
– 3+ experience as a generalist recruiter, either in an agency or in-house
– Ability to create and execute on new processes
– A solid understanding of all HR functions
– Proven experience managing/leading teams
– Ability to work independently and proactively
– Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through the challenges of a growing company
– Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
– Tech savvy, with the ability to anaylse and set up new software
