Job Description

We (at ) are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. As a QA Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality and successful release of integration with different Payment Systems. These activities include the verification of standalone REST API services, web applications, and Java-based desktop applications. Your expertise in tools like Postman, CURL, Bamboo, and Bitbucket, along with your experience in working with Scrum, will be essential in delivering reliable and high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

1. Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and functionalities.

2. Conduct thorough manual testing of different REST API standalone services, web applications, and Java-based desktop applications.

3. Independent investigation of problems’ root causes and their clear description.

4. Identify and report bugs, and inconsistencies.

5. Define areas for improvement.

6. Assist in preparing and executing Release plans to ensure smooth and timely deployments.

Test Documentation:

1. Create, maintain, and support comprehensive test documentation, including Test cases and Test plans for the verification of integration with different Payment Systems (e.g., Safecharge, Praxis, MD Cashier, PayPal etc).

2. Define and execute test scenarios, verifying application functionality against project specifications.

3. Performing Release version regression testing and Sanity Production environments verification in accordance with defined Test plans.

4. Work closely with the team to prioritize and address reported issues.

Test Automation and Tools:

1. Utilize automation tools like Postman for Rest API services to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

2. Leverage CURL, Bamboo, and Bitbucket for streamlined integration and continuous testing.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to maintain a smooth development and testing process.

4. Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Database and Technical Expertise:

1. Demonstrate confident experience in working with SQL databases, particularly MsSQL and MySQL.

2. Utilize SQL queries to perform data validation and verification during testing.

Additional Skills (desirable):

1. Ability to independently investigate issues by reading logs and identifying root causes.

2. Knowledge of JavaScript (JS), HTML, and CSS will be considered a plus.

3. Familiarity with bash commands to execute tasks and automate processes.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

2. At least 4 years of experience in Manual QA roles, with a strong understanding of Software testing principles.

3. Proven experience in testing web, desktop applications, and REST API services.

4. Experience in checking integration with various Payment Systems is desirable.

5. Proficiency in work with incomplete/missing Business requirements.

6. Strong background in creating and maintaining effective Test documentation, including Test cases and Test plans.

7. Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman and CURL.

8. Clear understanding of Client-Server architecture.

9. Solid knowledge of SQL, particularly with MsSQL and MySQL databases.

10. Experience in version control and deployment systems like Bamboo and Bitbucket usage.

11. Preferred understanding of JavaScript (JS), CSS, and HTML.

12. Familiarity with Scrum methodologies and working in Agile development environments.

13. Ability to use SSH, remote connect tools.

14. Excellent analytical skills, independently issues root cause and issues consequences identification.

15. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, both within the team and when working independently.

16. Result- and Team-oriented personality.
