As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimator to join our team.

Job Description:
As a Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimator, you will play a critical role in our company’s success by accurately estimating the costs associated with structural and miscellaneous steel projects. You will work closely with the estimating managers and steel erection partners to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates. Your responsibilities will include:

-Reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
-Quantifying and calculating the quantities of structural and miscellaneous steel materials required for each project.
-Researching and sourcing prices for steel materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor services.
-Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
-Analyzing project risks and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
-Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, including labor, material, and equipment costs.
-Presenting estimates to the management team and participating in bid reviews.
-Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost control measures.
-Maintaining documentation of all estimating activities, including records of quotes, prices, and supplier information.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
-Proven experience as a Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimator in the construction industry.
-Strong knowledge of structural and miscellaneous steel materials, fabrication, and installation processes.
-Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
-Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Fabsuite, Autodesk Revit, Microsoft Excel).
-Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
