Supply Chain Manager – Master Negotiator

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead our global sourcing and supplier relationships. This role is critical in securing favorable pricing, terms, and quality products through strategic negotiations with our international supplier base, primarily located in China.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and onboard cost-effective, high-quality suppliers worldwide
– Leverage exceptional negotiation abilities to secure advantageous contracts, pricing agreements, and trade terms with suppliers
– Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with existing suppliers through persuasive communication and diplomacy
– Resolve complex supply chain issues through skillful negotiation, addressing quality concerns, delays, and performance gaps
– Analyze market trends, costs, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, trade policies, and ethical sourcing standards across the supply chain
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and meet delivery timelines

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
– Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain management experience, with a focus on international sourcing and supplier negotiation
– Proven excellence in negotiating favorable agreements with suppliers
– Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate cultural differences
– Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
– In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
– Willingness to travel internationally to visit suppliers, production facilities, and attend negotiations as needed
