Job Description – Supply Chain Manager for eCommerce Business

Are you passionate about the world of eCommerce and ready to take on a pivotal role in a dynamic and fast-growing business? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team. We are a successful eCommerce business selling on Amazon in the US, and we are looking for a talented individual who understands the intricacies of Supply Chain and Logistics specific to Amazon and FBA (fulfillment by Amazon).
We are looking for a candidate who is inquisitive, highly motivated and loves diving deep into the research data to understand sales trends, product forecasting, and optimization within the logistics stage of product lifecycle. Organised and meticulous, this person must be motivated to find better and more efficient ways to improve inventory accuracy and avoid stock outs.

Specific Skills/Experience Required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in an eCommerce or retail environment.
• At least 2 years of experience working for an Amazon seller, with a strong understanding of Amazon’s seller central platform.
• Extensive knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations, particularly related to Amazon and FBA.
• Proficiency in US import/export regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).

Key Responsibilities and Functions
• Data Gathering and Inventory Strategies: Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Liaising inter-departmentally with other teams to acquire information needed to manage inventory and ensure products are always where they need to be precisely and accurately.
• Data Presentation & Reporting: Creating clear and concise reports and reasoning which will be presented to the upper management and finance department. Keeping up to date records and management of live data through one central “information bank.”
• Procurement, Order Processing and Inventory Control: Order placement, negotiating pricing and payment terms, quality control and inspection reports, inventory tracking, order management and timeline management. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and implement effective inventory control measures to prevent stockouts or overstocks.
• Distribution & Amazon FBA Logistics: Understanding FBA fees, dimensional limitations, and Amazon specific restrictions which directly what and how we can ship our products. Freight management with international carriers and coordination with overseas suppliers.
• Management of a Team & Partnerships (3PL): Lead and mentor a small team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Maintaining and building on relationships with key stakeholders and partners including our 3PL managers and product suppliers.
• Process Optimization: Hitting deadlines, shortening lead times, optimizing delivery routes, managing lead times and improving upon the existing supply chain SOPS. Decreasing shipping time, improving upon product forecasting methods, exploring new opportunities and partnerships, avoiding loss of revenue due to stock outs.
• Compliance and Quality Control Management – Ensure compliance with Amazon’s guidelines and policies regarding inventory management, labelling, packaging, and shipping requirements. Manage the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with US regulations and customs requirements.

Salary – $2500 USD per calendar month (based on the preferred candidate’s prior experience)
