Job Description

Hi there! We’re a fast-growing online jewellery brand and we’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team to optimize our operations related to our inventory.

Your tasks would include (but are not limited to):

1. Inventory Management:

– Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
– Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and ensure accurate stock levels.
– Collaborate with relevant teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.

2. Supplier Relationship Management:

– Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
– Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements.
– Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

3. Logistics and Transportation:

– Coordinate and optimize transportation and logistics activities for inbound and outbound shipments.
– Select appropriate carriers and negotiate transportation costs to minimize expenses.
– Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.

4. Order Fulfillment:

– Streamline order processing and fulfillment operations to meet customer expectations.
Implement systems to track orders and shipments in real-time.
– Work closely with the fulfillment team to minimize order processing times.

5. Quality Control:

– Establish and maintain quality control procedures for incoming materials and finished products.
– Collaborate with production teams to ensure product quality standards are met.
– Address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

6. Risk Management:

– Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
– Establish contingency plans to address disruptions in the supply chain.
– Stay informed about industry trends and global events that may impact the supply chain.

7. Cost Management:

– Analyze costs associated with the supply chain and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
– Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality or service levels.

Requirements for this position:

– Experienced with dealing with Chinese suppliers/factories
– Your English grammar must be at least an 8 out of 10
– Proven experience with similar jobs in the past
– You must be a team-player
– You must be reliable and able to work independently
