ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your KEY RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not be limited to:

1. Financial Analysis – Analyze financial statements, cash flow, and other financial metrics to assess the financial health and performance of companies and forecast future financial trends. Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors on financial outcomes.

2. Data Analysis and Reporting – Analyze financial data, preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and make recommendations

3. Market and Industry Research – Conduct thorough research on industry trends and economic conditions to provide insights for decision-making

4. Financial Modeling – Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis, risk assessment, and decision support
Risk Assessment – Evaluate and assess financial risks that have potential impacts on the business.

5. Presentation Preparation – Create compelling presentations for pitches, investment proposals, and other communication materials and articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.

6. Regulatory Compliance – Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and guidelines in all transactions.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCES

To be successful in this role, ideally, you should have:

– Tertiary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field (ideally CFA qualified)
– Proven experience as a financial analyst who has worked in the industry (such as Financial Markets or Investment Banking) or in a similar role (equities analyst etc…).
– Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant software.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

– Honesty – if you are dishonest even a little bit in this role, you will not last
– Fluency in the English language – written and verbal, comfortable making calls and presenting to clients, drafting emails on behalf of directors that are easily understood
– High attention to detail – lots of numbers involved, so any mistakes can cost millions of dollars

– Exceptional time management, organizational skills and discipline – essential to keep all information at finger tips and adhering to deadlines and deliverables
– Able to work autonomously without supervision and collaborate in a team
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
– High level of integrity and professionalism.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

– Access to reliable and high-speed internet
– Available during Sydney working hours full-time
