DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fiduciary Income Tax Preparation (1041, 706, 709)
Prepare and review fiduciary income tax returns for trusts and estates, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to tax regulations.
Analyze financial documents, statements, and records to calculate taxable income, deductions, credits, and liabilities.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information, answer questions, and provide expert tax advice related to fiduciary matters.
Research and interpret complex tax laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that could impact fiduciary taxation and communicate these changes to clients and team members.
Assist in resolving any tax-related issues, audits, or inquiries that may arise.
Maintain organized and well-documented records of client interactions, calculations, and communications.
Continuously enhance professional knowledge through training, workshops, and research to provide exceptional service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree holder (CPA and or Enrolled Agent is a PLUS!)
With at least 2 years experience in US Estate Tax and/or Fiduciary Income Tax law (e.g. 1041 preparation) required
Experience in 706 and 709 preparation is a great advantage!
Knowledge and skills with QuickBooks Online and or Desktop, and CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx tax preparation software is desirable
High attention to detail

SKILLS REQUIRED

Ability to review estate and trust agreements and the related tax implications.
Aptitude for great client service
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
Capacity to manage and prioritize workload in a deadline driven environment
Eager to develop new skills and set achievable goals
Ability to utilize digital workpapers and perform tax data autoflow

Work Environment: Be able to work privately (you’re accessing confidential financial information) during work hours.
