Role Overview:
As a Junior Tax Lawyer Specialist at Stayland, you will be responsible for delving into the nuanced world of property taxation and compliance, with a special focus on properties operating without the necessary vacation rental licenses. Your expertise will directly impact the company’s ability to safeguard assets and navigate the legal intricacies of property management.

Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough research on property tax laws and regulations in California, specifically related to vacation rentals.
Identifying properties operating without proper vacation rental licenses and addressing potential legal implications.
Collaborating with property owners and local authorities to obtain the required licenses and permits.
Developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with unlicensed vacation rentals, including handling property liens.
Providing legal guidance on tax optimization strategies for property owners within the vacation rental market.
Staying up-to-date with evolving tax laws and regulations that impact the property management landscape.

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Solid understanding of property tax laws and regulations, with a specific focus on vacation rentals and licenses.
