About Social Sparrow
Social Sparrow was founded by Stephanie Blake in 2015. It began with her geeky love of computers and knowledge of digital technology combined with her love for people. She saw a need for her personal chiropractor to be able to reach specific clients through Facebook advertising. She met that need then, and continues to meet that need today. Social Sparrow still combines its focus of technology and love-for-people to remain cutting edge in the digital advertising space.
Stephanie Blake is a lover of technology whose passion was sparked by a Dell computer from Radio Shack when she was only ten years old. Today, she is a Funnel Lovin’, Facebook Ads GEEK, and ChatBot-aholic. She still loves sinking her teeth into a new technology or software and learning everything about it! So most days, you’ll find Stephanie sitting at her computer leading her virtual team, chatting with clients, teaching strategy, and learning new technology. If she’s not there, she is spending time with her family. Her loving husband, four amazing kids, and one furry dog are the people you should meet if you really want to get to know Stephanie. They are her everything!
Bottom line, Stephanie lives life with an intense passion for what she does, and who she helps. Everyday she’s working to make an impact of her own on this world and in God’s Kingdom.
Social Sparrow Cultural Pillars:
Positive Attitude & Engaged Mind/Heart: Social Sparrow employees are expected to show up with a positive attitude toward their work and their team. Engaging during team meetings and giving your full focus and heart is expected. If you need help in this area, there is always a pathway.
Diligence: Strong work ethic and a dedication to seeing Social Sparrow grow through the work of our hands should bring diligence in everything we do. Diligence is being careful and persistent in all work and effort. Once our work/tasks are done, we ask, “What else needs to be done?” “How can I help my team?” “How can I improve the work that I do and/or Social Sparrow?” We take the initiative to solve problems to maximize our time and effectiveness for our strategy and actions.
Kingdom Mentality: As believers, we are encouraged – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” (Col 3:23) As a Kingdom believer we should always look to give more than we take. By doing so, we seek ways to serve our team members and clients.
People before Tasks: This goes for our clients as well as our team members. Tasks get the job done but people are what we’re all about. We fight to make sure that we always put the people in front of us before what we need to get done.
Healthy Confrontation / Conversations: So much fruit comes from healthy confrontation. Most people have trouble with confrontation, but when done well, it is one of the most beneficial things that can happen in your life. When in confrontation, let love lead. We get to choose our attitude and mindset around the confrontation, and we have the choice to keep it healthy when annoyed.
We Are Advocates: At Social Sparrow we have a culture of advocacy. We advocate for our clients, our team members and we’re even advocates for ourselves. Advocacy is our God-given right and ability to speak-up for things that matter to us, our clients and our team. The most important way we advocate is first for ourselves because when we do, it causes a trickle down effect that results in advocacy for our team & our clients.
Self-Advocacy means you are able to ask for what you need and want and tell people about your thoughts and feelings. The expectation is that If we’re struggling, we ask for help. If we don’t get that help, we reach out to leadership. Conversely, it also means that if we see a team member struggling, we take the initiative to encourage them to advocate for themselves. We believe that a healthy team is made up of individuals who work hard to own their space and advocate for themselves.
We NEVER Lose. We Only WIN or Learn Something. We are not afraid to fail because from failure, we learn and grow both as a team and individually. We don’t let the fear of failure stop us from moving forward or cause us to move through life timidly. We have a culture of learning from failures and mess-ups, so when they happen, we own them and ask the question, “What can I learn from this?” and we move forward in this new earned wisdom to be better than we were before.
