QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
1. We need someone who can primarily work 24 hours per week between the UK hours of 1200-2100 on Monday and 1600-2100 Tuesday to Thursday. Flexibility should also be there to cover other team members for periods of holiday and sickness during the UK hours of 0800-2200 Monday to Sunday.
2. We need someone who is comfortable with handling calls about customer enquiries and issues over the phone and via email.
3. You will need to have experience as bookkeeper using Xero, ideally for a UK based company incorporating VAT and CIS.
4. You need to be able to pay attention to detail and have the ability to follow instructions carefully.
5. Excellent understanding of spoken English is essential, and you need to be accomplished at writing in the English language.
6. You need to be extremely comfortable working with multiple software systems and be a quick learner.
7. I am looking for a VA who is self-motivated and an accurate but fast worker. The individual needs to be professional and reliable and have a ‘Can Do’ attitude!
THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for someone to take bookings and manage customer support through phone and email. Our customers are looking to make a booking, change a booking, to ask questions about their stay or the property they are staying in, or they have a problem or complaint. You will need to be able to deal quickly and efficiently with requests for information and to be able handle customer issues/complaints if they arise.
Alongside supporting our guests, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of our company accounts in Xero. This involves checking and creation of invoices and bills, reconciliation of account transactions, report creation and regular maintenance tasks to ensure old records are correctly resolved, review of account transactions and correction of errors to ensure the accounts are accurately presenting forecast cashflow.
You will also be involved in general administration and ad-hoc tasks. This may include process development and documentation, searching for new property and lettings administration, etc. There will be instructional videos to watch to show you how we work.
Skills needed for this project:
– 3 years experience in customer service and support via telephone and email.
– 2 years experience in UK company bookkeeping, ideally including CIS and VAT.
– Certified user of Xero accounting software.
– Friendliness and fluent English language communication skills
– Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.
– Confident using different software programs and quick to learn new apps.

It will also provide clarity and accuracy to our accounts to enable sound financial decision making.

OUR COMPANIES PAY AND BENEFITS
* Pay rate: $3-6 USD per hour
* You will get paid weekly initially, moving to monthly after the first few weeks via Transferwise
* Paid holiday can be earned based on hours worked
* Bonuses will be paid for exceptional work
* Your pay will increase based on the standard of your work and time with the company
* We pay 13th month as standard (pro-rata)
