Technical Business Analyst – 6 months Full Time Contract Role.

As a Business Analyst in our Product Team, reporting to our Product Manager, your key responsibility will be to support the product strategy and delivery by gathering requirements and creating user stories and business processes for various products and payments initiatives. In this role you will be a vital link between Product and Tech, supporting our business objectives by ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks for new products and features.
To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. You have a collaborative mindset and creative problem-solving skills. What you will lead:

? Identify, organise, and clarify business requirements, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement to deliver better value to the customer
? Facilitate workshops and meetings with key stakeholders, capturing and grooming requirements into epics, features and, user stories for the squad/scrum team
? Document and/or update business requirements from stakeholders (internal or external) into technical requirements using a collaborative and hands-on approach
? Carry out detailed end-to-end process analysis and ability to provide recommendations via gap analysis of the current vs the future state
? Analyse business impact when making changes to business rules and logic
? Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas
? Write high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements
? Collaborate with the Product Manager to prioritise epics, user stories and defects to ensure delivery and maximum value aligned with product strategy
? Lead and facilitate Scrum events using Agile practices, tools, and processes and create consistency of delivery practices across the team’s continuous improvement and celebrate success.
? Working across multiple squads, and supporting the development leads with delivery
? Maintain sprint flow by minimising external disturbances, managing risks or impediments, and removing blockers and hurdles
? Participate in UAT testing as required and contribute to ad-hoc tasks that may be required during the implementation
? Provide technical leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to other team members
? Research and analyse new technologies and recommend appropriate solutions by following competitors in the payments industry
? Keep up to date with Agile/Scrum best practices

What you can demonstrate:

? Demonstrate knowledge or experience of transaction processing and payment services
? Highly effective cross-functional working style

Your Technical Expertise:

? High Level of experience in Agile Software Development Methodologies
? Demonstrate knowledge in the delivery space as a Scrum Master and working closely with engineers and stakeholders
? Expert in translating business requirements into functional and non-functional system requirements.
? Experience with iOS and Android – app development projects, App Clip or Instant App experience would be an advantage
? Experience with API E2E Interface Mapping UI, API and DB
? Experience in QA E2E Test scenarios reviews and Execution
? Experience with continuous delivery practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous deployment
? Basic AWS Cloud Knowledge would be an advantage
? Experience with billing and pricing processes and knowledge would be advantageous
? Experience in Microsoft Office 365 & Atlassian Confluence, Jira Software is preferred.
? Fintech/Payments industry exposure is preferred.

Your qualifications:

? A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.
? Demonstrated experience in business analysis or a related field.
? Proven experience working in a fast-moving, fast-paced fintech start up

For the first 3 months, you will:

? Enjoy your onboarding experience and become familiar with our strategic vision
? Build positive relationships, with your peers and the broader team, taking the time to understand our tech stack and our ways of working
? Review the product roadmap, where we are in the journey, and what we need to do, to keep delivering innovation that disrupts the market
? Complete competitor research to understand the prepaid, gift card & rewards market and learn about our products
? Establish a new benchmark, setting the bar ‘pretty’ high for running Agile ceremonies in collaboration with the developers and broader product team and celebrating successes
? Hit the ground running, delivering high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria for functional and non-functional requirements for Rewards products, Client Onboarding and feature enhancements for Special.
? Delivering on critical requirements from across the business, and executing more efficient processes, the team knows what to expect and has integrated your working style and approach

For the following 3 months and onwards:

? You have built credibility, demonstrating you are an expert in your craft, sharing your expertise
? You will continue to enhance our engineering team’s capability and performance standards
? You are taking the lead in gathering requirements on key projects and supporting the tech lead on all delivery requirements
? You have created a healthy backlog of User Stories for our Rewards product and International Expansion
? Our squads’ backlogs are groomed with priority in line with a strategic roadmap
? There have been team success and celebrations in line with the achievement of our Company strategy and our milestone plans
