Technical Consultant | Systems Engineer

What we need:

With many years of business growth behind us, and an exciting new chapter in our company coming up quickly, Cloud4x is looking to diversify its IT team to leverage more expertise, expand the number of roles and deliver a more business-focused outcome to its clients.

This role is designed to report to our client’s Service Delivery Manager and to the Head of Service Delivery at Cloud4x. While this is not a helpdesk role, it is expected that this role will serve as the final pre-vendor escalation point for Business Applications support. A background in supporting or implementing solutions in the construction/landscaping industry would be favourably looked upon.

Please be aware that this is not a solution architecture or project management role.

This role will work on exciting projects identifying improvements, prototyping designs, building solutions, and supporting applications and automation infrastructure for our client. The selected candidate will work closely with our Solution Architects and vendors on projects such as:

• Automation in PowerAutomate and n8n
• Low Code app-dev through Budibase and PowerApps
• Dynamics 365 improvements – business process, automation & documentation
• Improving other business processes and workflows as required
• Assisting in migrating away from legacy on-premises infrastructure and business applications
• Assisting our client with data analytics and reporting
• Ad-hoc modern management enhancement projects, moving our client to further utilisation Microsoft 365 technologies and platforms.

This role is for someone looking to take the next step in their IT career as a Business Applications Specialist for one of our clients, while maintaining their existing deep technical skills base and leveraging it to provide excellence in technology and architecture advice to the business. The successful applicant will be provided with opportunities to expand their knowledge and gain new marketable skills.

This role does not require the successful applicant to work in an office. We expect the applicant to work from home between 8.30am and 5.30pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Equipment (monitor, laptop, peripherals) will be provided to the successful applicant.

Responsibilities:
• Provide high quality documentation for current BAU applications.
• Identify, Design, Build and Support internal business apps, processes and systems.
• Contribute to, and participate in migration projects to move key applications to Azure Cloud, Microsoft 365 and AWS
• Training post-project ensuring smooth transition to BAU for Service Desk team.

Technologies:

This role will work across the following technologies, and we would expect applicants to be familiar with multiple (but not all) of these:

• Microsoft AD, Azure AD, Office 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager
• OS (Windows desktop, Windows Server) + common application stacks on them (Active Directory, RemoteApp, etc)
• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
• JavaScript, PowerShell scripting
• PowerPlatform or other

Requirements:

• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions across multiple of the above technologies.
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and select solutions.
• Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture.
• Attention to detail.
• Background in MSPs preferred.
• Appropriate certifications would be preferable but is not required.
