Technical Copywriter

Spectra Scientific is a leading player in the scientific instrumentation industry, specializing in cutting-edge solutions for chemical analysis, water quality management, and instrumentation. We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Copywriter to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growing presence in the scientific community. This involves the creation of written material in order to promote our products. The scope of our products and research is within the following fields: Water Quality Measurement and Analysis; we work in the measurement and monitoring of water bodies, therefore we are monitoring the following parameters; pH, ORP, Turbidity, TSS, TDS, Conductivity, Salinity, Dissolved Oxygen and more. Familiarity with these concepts as well as the ability to research and develop documentation is required.

Responsibilities:

As a Technical Copywriter at Spectra Scientific, you will be responsible for:

Research and Content Creation: Thoroughly researching scientific topics related to our business and translating complex technical information into engaging and accessible content. This includes articles, technical notes, blog posts, Q&A, short-form social media content, and more.

Collaboration: Working closely with our marketing and technical teams to ensure accurate representation of scientific concepts while aligning with our brand messaging.

Technical Understanding: Demonstrating a strong understanding of scientific principles, especially in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics, and the ability to convey this knowledge to a diverse audience.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of technical content by fact-checking and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in relevant scientific fields.

Degree Preferred: Having a technical degree from a university, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics, is highly desirable.

Bonus Experience: Practical experience with chemical processes and instrumentation such as pH sensors, water quality management, report writing and chemical principles will be considered a significant advantage.

Qualifications:

Fluency in the English language with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience in copywriting, preferably in a technical or scientific field.
Experience in Scientific Report writing or Lab work is a bonus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality, accurate content.
Familiarity with SEO best practices for content creation.
