Job Description

I’m looking for a Technical Personal Assistant to join us full-time, remotely. This isn’t just another typical job – it’s a chance to make a real impact with a fast paced startup.

Here’s the deal:
I’m swamped. There’s too much on my plate, and it’s holding us back. I need someone to step in and take charge of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our company running smoothly. You’ll handle the admin stuff I can’t get to. Create systems that actually work. Keep an eye on our finances. Make sure our team is moving forward, and not working on tasks that do not matter.

But here’s the kicker – I don’t want to have to tell you to do these things or how to do them. I need someone who can spot problems and fix them before they become headaches. Someone who can see what needs to be done and just… do it.

What we need you to help out with:
– Managing our inboxes, we have hundreds of daily emails that need to be sorted out.
– If we ever travel to any events, we need you to book everything A-Z.
– Any administrative tasks like researching new vendors or helping me order food.
– Managing the hiring process from writing job posts to onboarding new team members.

What we’re looking for:
– You’re able to write and speak English clearly like it was your first language.
– You’ve had at the minimum 2 years of experience as an executive/personal assistant to a US business owner.
– You’ve have experience in hiring A Players, managing deadlines with projects, and handling basic finances.
– You know how to use Google Workspace, Notion, Clickup, Slack, and you can pick up tools quickly.
– You’re able to be online when we’re on. That means Monday – Saturday (9AM PST – 6PM PST).
– You’re able to use AI tools like ChatGPT to help speed up your workflow.

You shouldn’t apply if:
– You want to make a ton of money upfront. This role has a lower salary, and is more focused on long-term profit sharing/equity.
– You need to be told step by step what to do. This role requires you to tell me what we need to do, think Donna from suits.
– You can’t take ownership of projects. This role isn’t about getting tasks, it’s about taking ownership of the entire project, if you need to be able to take on pressure.
– You can’t onboard yourself. This role will provide you with minimal instructions, you’ll need to ask the right questions, and then be curious about everything else within the company.
– You want to do the least amount of work. This role requires you to go above and beyond your “job description.”
– You can’t be online when we are. This role requires you to be online with us, there’s no exceptions and no negotiations on this. We want to ship our product and in the end and make money for everyone on the team
– You can’t fill out our application correctly. This role requires you to be detailed in your work, if you can’t do the basics you might as well not apply.

What you get:
– You’ll learn more here, then any other job/college degree on the market. I guaranteed that…
– You get to work with a team of A Players and top performers, the saying goes “you’re the average of the 5 people you hang out with.”

On the question where we ask “In which city do you currently reside?,” put “spark” so I know you’re not a robot.
