Technical SEO Specialist

MediaJel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical SEO Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for SEO, website optimization and a deep understanding of the technical aspects of search engine optimization. This person should have experience working with WordPress, WPEngine and a strong knowledge of tools like Ahrefs, and SEMrush.

Responsibilities:
• Conducting website audits to identify technical SEO issues and implement solutions to improve site health and ranking
• Staying up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices and making recommendations for improvements to the website
• Working with the development team to ensure all technical SEO best practices are implemented correctly
• Implementing schema markup and structured data to enhance website visibility and improve the user experience
• Using SEMrush and other SEO tools to monitor and track website performance, keyword rankings, and organic traffic
• Identifying and fixing crawl errors, broken links, and other technical issues that can negatively impact search engine rankings
• Collaborating with content creators to optimize content for search engines, ensuring that all content is keyword-optimized and follows best practices for on-page optimization
• Providing regular reports on website performance and recommendations for improvement
• Extensive experience with managing and optimizing WordPress websites, including the setup and customization of themes, plugins, and widgets.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and experience with PHP programming language.
• Experience with website migrations and relaunches, including the proper redirect mapping and implementation of hreflang tags.
• Ability to identify and resolve common WordPress technical issues, such as security vulnerabilities and slow performance.
• Domain setup and management of extensive private blog network
• Knowledge of best practices for website speed optimization and experience with tools such as GTmetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights.
• Familiarity with e-commerce WordPress platforms, such as WooCommerce, and experience with optimizing checkout and product pages for conversion and search engines.

Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in technical SEO and website optimization
• Extensive knowledge of WordPress and experience with website development
• Strong knowledge of SEMrush and other SEO tools
• Experience with schema markup and structured data implementation
• Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
