Position Overview:

As a Technology Alignment Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers’ technology initiatives are closely aligned with our business goals and strategies. In this role, you will work remotely to ensure that our technology initiatives and infrastructure effectively support and contribute to the success of our clients’ business goals and strategies. Understanding a customer IT environment configuration is integral to the rTAM role. Successful rTAMs understand how to find their way around a network, within servers, and other IT systems to discover what is lacking in our documentation, to uncover inconsistent configurations, and who can evaluate an IT environment against a set of standards as well as document any discovered gaps.

This is a full-time remote position. The Remote Technology Alignment Manager will work virtually and collaborate with our IT team and business stakeholders via video conferencing, chat, and other remote work tools.

Working hours: 3 pm EST – 11 PM EST, flexible options might be available

Responsibilities:

Technology Assessment: Conduct regular comprehensive assessments and reconciliation of our clients’ existing IT infrastructure, systems, and applications to identify areas for improvement, cost optimization, and enhanced efficiency.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with technology initiatives and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Team Collaboration: Work with the Onsite Technology Success Team to complete regular customers reviews in a scheduled fashion.

Customer Knowledge Base Maintenance: Maintain and enhance customer documentation: hardware, software, licensing, network, SOPs, line-of-business applications etc.

Change Management: Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth technology adoption across the organization. Participate in developing supporting, self-serve and training documentation to end-users during technology transitions.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of technology alignment strategies, project plans, and outcomes. Prepare regular reports for stakeholders, outlining progress and results. Create a document and information repository to consolidate knowledge. Document management simplifies updates and accessibility for team members. All service delivery areas benefit from a central repository.

Technology Trends: Stay informed about emerging technology trends, industry developments, and best practices. Use this knowledge to propose innovative solutions to enhance the organization’s technology landscape.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in IT strategy or project management are a plus.
Proven experience in technology alignment or IT strategy, ideally in a remote setting.
Strong understanding of business processes and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, independent setting.
Great interpersonal skills
Great problem-solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing technologies and customer requirement
Great cultural awareness

Technical knowledge of:
Networking (routing & switching principles)
Windows environments (Hyper-V, Windows Server roles and Windows 10)
Firewalls / routing appliances (Fortinet, etc.)
Office 365 Cloud and Desktop Office Apps
Backup platforms and their administration (Veeam, Altaro, CloudBerry, and Acronis)
Azure and SharePoint
Troubleshooting techniques for all of the above
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and assures consistent achievement of quality standards
Decision making that supports company guidelines authoritatively and quickly
Proven customer service and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
