JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective:
The main objective of this position is cold outreach to generate qualified sales calls.
The Appointment Setter is responsible for finding, nurturing, and generating qualified leads and meeting sales goals to achieve company growth. Lead generation and the identification of potential clients and sales opportunities will be completed via cold outreach which includes phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn. The Setter will use their interpersonal skills to develop relationships and interest in doing business with the company.
The Setter will use CRM tools both automated and personalized touches of calling, emailing, and follow up activities to effectively initiate conversations and build relationships with potential clients. The Setter will maintain an organized database of sales data and reports and identify trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement to increase new sales.
This position is 100% cold calling, and we require all applicants to have a proven track record of remote outbound sales experience, business to business sales experience as well as experience in technical sales. If you do not have all 3, do not apply as you will not be hired.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Initial Sales Meetings:
1. The Setter will schedule 3 initial meetings per week. A meeting will be defined as a voice or video call.
2. The monthly goal for average potential new client attendance to the initial meeting is 40%.
3. The Setter will vet potential prospects prior to scheduling an initial meeting and ideally, as much as possible, via online research prior to pursuing the potential client for an initial meeting, as being the ITA (US based, internal IT, privately held with 250 -2500 employees) for current sales goals.
4. Of the potential clients attending an initial meeting, the Setter should on average have vetted out 80% of the non-qualified candidates, prior to scheduling that initial meeting.
CRM Management:
11. The Setter will pull lead lists in the CRM based on the companies identified ITA.
12. The Setter will keep the CRM up to date by working within the CRM and documenting all sales outreach activities. Some documentation will occur automatically as the VSA works within the CRM.
13. The Setter will identify trends in successful versus non-successful outreach.
14. The Setter will not reach out to potential candidates that have requested no further contact. Additionally, those contacts should be removed from any sales lists.
15. The Setter will conduct themselves in a highly professional manner with clear communication and reply to communication in less than 2 business hours.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with typical workdays of Monday – Friday 8:00 – 4:30 PM EST (US Eastern Time Zone)
This position requires use of a computer and phone, and proficient use of the English language both oral and written.
Travel:
This is a fully remote position and travel may be required only if the employee is to attend company gatherings. These visits will not exceed more than twice per year and will be scheduled in advance.
