Job Title: TikTok Content Creator
Location: Remote, but with in-store collaboration from owner in San Francisco, California
Company Overview: Candy’s is a vibrant retail candy store located in the bustling Haight Street area of San Francisco. We offer a wide variety of candies, chocolates, specialty drinks, and ice cream. Alongside our retail store, we utilize platforms like Grubhub, DoorDash to delivery candy around the city. Within the next 3 months, we will be expanding to Uber Eats, Amazon, and have a dedicated e-commerce site.
Job Description: We are seeking a creative and dynamic TikTok Content Creator/Social Media Manager to launch and grow our TikTok account.
This full-time role involves complete account management; from crafting compelling campaigns and videos to showcase our unique product range and the joy of candy to strategic plan creation and performance based metric management. You will have the creative freedom to develop content that resonates with kids, Gen Zers, families and candy lovers alike that is fun, personable, relatable and unique. You will be working closely with the stores owner to achieve strategic growth and revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, plan and execute a content calendar that aligns with stores marketing strategies and key American Holidays
* Develop, film, and edit engaging video content tailored for TikTok, highlighting our products
* Monitor trends on TikTok and other social media platforms to leverage in content creation.
* Engage with our community by responding to comments and messages.
* Collaborate with the owner to ensure brand consistency.
* Analyze and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
* Recommend and align on goals and KPIs during the first month to gauge success.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in creating engaging video content on TikTok.
* Strong videography and editing skills, comfortable using iPhone and video editing software(s)
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as the sole marketing team member.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain a family-friendly, but fun and engaging content tone.
* Understanding of viral marketing and social media trends.
Tools and Resources:
* Management will provide access to necessary tools and resources desired by applicant for success in this role
We will primarily use iPhone video and a couple of SaaS video editing platforms.
Work Environment and Reporting:
* This role is remote, reporting directly to the owner who will provide video content from in-store activities. All content will be shared via Dropbox or Google Drive for editing and finalization.
Compensation:
* Monthly salary ranging from $1,000 to $1,500 USD per month based on experience and qualifications.
* Performance based quarterly bonuses will be tied to account performance and revenue generation from the TikTok channel.

Interview Process:
* First Round: Initial Screening (15-20 minutes) (Starts No later than July 13)
* Discuss portfolio, content creation and editing experience, and understanding of TikTok as a marketing tool.
* Second Round: Creative Task (30 minutes) (Starts No later than July 19)
* Outline a mock up content creation plan for a week and a mock-up idea of a potential TikTok video. This will assess creativity, planning ability, and alignment with our brand.
