Job Description

Surf Pacific is a renowned advertising agency with a rich history spanning 27 years, established in London in 1997. In 2000, our founders moved operations to the picturesque Sanctuary Cove in sunny Queensland, Australia. We also have a sister office in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, which has been thriving for the past 17 years.

We are currently seeking a top-level WordPress (WP) website designer/developer who can thrive in our dynamic environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in WordPress:
Extensive experience with WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and customization.
Knowledge of the latest WordPress updates and features.
HTML/CSS:
Strong understanding of HTML and CSS for front-end development.
Ability to create responsive and mobile-friendly designs.
JavaScript/jQuery:
Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery for dynamic content and interactive elements.
PHP/MySQL:
Solid understanding of PHP for WordPress customization and plugin development.
Experience with MySQL databases for managing website data.
Experience with Themes and Plugins:
Ability to create and customise WordPress themes.
Proficiency in developing and modifying WordPress plugins.
Website Performance Optimization:
Skills in optimising website speed and performance (e.g., caching, image optimization, minimizing code).
Knowledge of tools like Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.
SEO Best Practices:
Understanding of on-page SEO techniques and best practices.
Experience with SEO plugins like Yoast SEO or Rank Math.
Version Control/Git:
Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing code changes.
API Integration:
Experience with integrating third-party APIs into WordPress sites (e.g., social media feeds, payment gateways).
Design Skills:
UI/UX Design:
Strong understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles.
Ability to create intuitive and visually appealing designs.
Graphic Design Tools:
Proficiency in graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.

Additional Considerations:
