Transcriptionist

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who can initially work on short-term transcription projects. This can potentially be an ongoing project depending on the quality of work output.

About the Role

This role will work closely and report to the Content Manager or the Operations Manager and is expected to:

Create accurate written versions of live proceedings, audio or video recordings.
Review and edit transcriptions done by speech recognition software and identify any inconsistencies.
Have good typing skills and great attention to detail and be able to keep all product information confidential.
Have excellent listening, reading and editing skills and ability to focus for extended periods.
Have a working knowledge of the MS Word particularly document formatting, headers, footers, TOC, cover pages and graphic inserts.
Understand various English accents of both native English speakers and second language speakers.
Execute any administrative tasks that the company needs action on.

Bachelor’s Degree or 2-3 years of relevant transcription experience

Workstation Requirements

Mac or PC with at least 8GB of RAM and stable Internet connection

Work Arrangements:

This is a part-time remote work which requires a flexible 20 hours a week from Monday to Friday. The hours and work schedule will be agreed with the manager and can be varied as the need arises.
