Job Description

I’m the owner of Life of Y – a fairly new travel blog that gives advice on various countries/cities along with guides and reviews.

I’m looking for an enthusiastic, creative ghostwriter/content writer to join my team, initially on a gig basis.

Previous ghostwriting or creative writing for travel blogs and/or websites is preferred but not essential as long as you have ‘some’ experience and are able to write quickly, efficiently and accurately.

Travel experience preferred but not essential as I may edit with some of my own personal experiences but you should be at least interested in travel! A passion for the subject will make the partnership much more enjoyable!

My posts are written in a friendly, informative manner without the flowery language as this is not me and my readers prefer a more casual tone.

The majority of my readers are from the US so you must have excellent command of English and be able to write engaging, creative blog posts/travel guides/itineraries and more.

No AI please unless it is kept to a minimum, fact checked, and edited for flow and tone.

Each blog post will be a minimum of 1500 words although this can be 3000 or more in many cases.

I am currently writing articles on Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Spain, Portugal and Italy with many more countries to come.

I will provide keywords and outlines so there will already a structure to follow to make sure the content is SEO friendly.

Posts may include paragraphs about tours or hotels so a good eye for detail and research is a must.

This is a flexible position but could lead to regular work for a part-time writer who can work 7-8 hours a week. This would be one or two blog post per week on average depending on skill level.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of then please contact me for more information.

Before contacting me you should visit one of my more popular articles to get a feel of the type of content I create –

I look forward to hearing from you!
