Travel Consultant (Sabre)

We are a team with a passion for travel. We tailor-make unique experiences. We need a Travel Agent superstar for a LONG-TERM position. We need someone to assist our Sydney-based team with inbound enquiries, fares and ticketing enquiries, bookings and other ad hoc tasks within the business. We are looking for a full-time position for someone who has previous experience working in the travel industry.

Job Summary:

Confirming flight bookings
Queues and reissue tickets using express tickets and sabre system
Adding in passports and special requests
Controlling all queues so we stay updated
Special requests to hotels for client
Sourcing better priced hotel options at final balance stage if applicable
Replying to web enquiries
Repying to new email enquiries and sending fees
Preparing travel documents for clients in smart trips/u mapped
Sending clients email updates

Essential:
• At least 3 years travel consulting experience.
• Previous experience in travel retail/leisure or corporate travel
• Excellent knowledge of travel booking with travel providers and air travel.
• Strong technology
• Strong customer service background
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organised and high level of attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and ability to learn technology platforms

Preferred:
• GDS knowledge (Sabre preferred)
• Demonstrated process improvement and team leading
