Remote – Travel Planner (Scottish Travel Company)

Join our team as a Travel Planner and embark on a journey to help travelers explore the beauty of Scotland. This is a remote position that allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while connecting travelers with unforgettable Scottish experiences.

As a Travel Planner at our Scottish travel company, your responsibilities will include:

– Providing essential administrative support, such as answering customer inquiries and documenting interactions in our CRM system.
– Guiding customers through the travel planning process, understanding their needs, and swiftly turning inquiries into bookings.
– Creating personal travel itineraries for our clients.
– Aligning with our organization’s Vision, Mission, and Values in your daily work.
– Managing travel reservations and itineraries using various booking systems, including Amadeus (GDS), other platforms.
– Following up with potential clients, generating quotes and invoices, and accurately recording payments.
– Delivering post-booking services like Bon Voyage and Welcome Home calls, and meticulously noting special requests in customer profiles and bookings.
– Coordinating with tour operators, suppliers, and support staff to ensure seamless trip operations, while maintaining timely client interaction records.
– Assisting the team with occasional ad-hoc duties.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday occasional availability for weekend work is required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

– Demonstrated experience as a Travel Agent.
– Strong experience using Microsoft excel
– Experience in computer reservations systems, including the GDS system Amadeus, and travel retailing. Ability to create compelling offers and proposals.
– Fluency in English is essential
– Effective communication skills with a positive and personable demeanor.
– In-depth knowledge of domestic and international travel trends.
– Degree or Certificate in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or a related field.
– Personal travel experience in Scotland is considered an advantage.
